A free, unofficial Dragon Ball action RPG inspired by classic handheld adventures.

About the game
Legacy of Goku Origins is a fan-made action RPG inspired by the Legacy of Goku series, Buu's Fury and the original Dragon Ball adventure.
The project follows Kid Goku during the early Dragon Ball story, with a focus on exploration, combat, progression and the sense of adventure from the original series. While the game takes inspiration from the classic GBA titles, it is being built from the ground up in Godot with its own maps, systems, mechanics and visual improvements.
Explore Goku's world
Explore connected areas ranging from Mt. Paozu and forests to villages, mountains, caves and other locations from Goku's journey. The world is designed to reward exploration, with hidden paths, secrets, items, optional interactions and small environmental details throughout the maps.
Combat and progression
Combat mixes simple real-time attacks with special techniques that can be leveled up and improved as you use them. Enemies have their own behaviors, attack patterns and difficulty differences, while Hard Mode focuses on making encounters more aggressive and unpredictable rather than simply increasing enemy health.
More to discover
The game also includes quests, minigames, fishing, cooking, items, level gates, story sequences and other systems inspired by the Legacy of Goku games while adding new ideas of its own.
Development status
Legacy of Goku Origins is currently in active development. Private testing is being used to improve combat, balance, controls, maps and other systems before a public demo is released.
The game is currently being developed for PC. Planned languages currently include English, French, Brazilian Portuguese and German.
Legacy of Goku Origins will remain completely free.
